This Privacy Policy explains how Murphy Ryan, doing business as RunTheBook (“RunTheBook,” “we,” “us”), handles information when you use runthebook.com (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

• Account information (only if you create or claim an account): an identifier and, if you sign in with a third party such as Google, your email address and basic profile info they share. We do not collect payment information through this website.
• Usage data: in-game bookings, progress, cards, currency, and preferences.
• Device and log data: IP address, browser and device type, general location inferred from IP, pages viewed, and timestamps, collected automatically to operate and secure the Service.
• Cookies and similar technologies: used to run the Service, remember settings, and measure usage (see below).

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential functions and for product analytics that help us understand usage and improve the Service. We use PostHog as our analytics provider. You can control or block cookies through your browser settings; some features may not work if you do.

• to comply with law or respond to lawful requests, and to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service; and

01Your California privacy rights

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA) gives you the right to know what personal information we collect, to request access to or deletion or correction of it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we do not use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Because we do not sell or share, no “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” action is required, but you may still contact us to exercise any of the rights above at murphy@murphyryan.com.

06Data retention and security

We keep information only as long as needed to operate the Service and for legitimate legal and security purposes, then delete or de-identify it. We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

07Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 in violation of the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

08Third-party links and sign-in

The Service may link to or use third-party services. Their handling of your information is governed by their own privacy policies, not this one.

09Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy as the Service changes. We will update the date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice where reasonable. Your continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Policy.
